Stool in pancreatic cancer patients may become pale, clay-colored, or light grey if the cancer blocks the bile duct. Normally, bile gives stool its brown colour. When bile cannot reach the intestine, the stool loses its normal colour and may also become greasy or difficult to flush. These changes can occur with other liver or bile duct conditions as well, so they should not be ignored. If you notice persistent changes in stool colour along with jaundice or unexplained weight loss, consult a doctor promptly.
